The History of TNT 4 Jesus Christ Event Ministry

God allowed this ministry to begin November 2004, with the home base being Woodruff, S.C. The founder and visionary is Patricia Thomas (Sister Pat/Ms. Pat). The ministry began in the home of Sister Patricia, where she began, with a number of workers, to put together letters for support from companies and for government grants. The government grants fell through, but businesses in the Woodruff and Spartanburg area began to support the different events with Door Prizes and food items. We also have individuals who donate, faithfully, items such as food, prizes, toys, and funds to buy tshirts for our nursing home group (EAGLES of GOD), and individuals also give their time to assist with the events.

We are still a small group, but have increased in growth. And sometimes the ministry has been called a church, but the ministry is not a church. The ministry is a team of Godly spiritual brothers and sisters, who come together to spread the Word of God and draw others to God by hosting spiritual events, programs, and workshops for the communities; with the number one goal being, “To show love and share the Word of God”. The name, TNT, simply means, being on fire for the things of God, and being always ready and excited to serve Him!

Although the home base is in Woodruff, S.C., the ministry services are provided in the South Carolina areas of: Greenville, Spartanburg,  and Rock Hill. The ministry also services parts of Pineville, N.C., and we connect with churches in many areas to assist with events they themselves are doing.

During our "programs", we provide a speaker, and a meal. The "workshops", help people to learn about the Word of God and the plan He has for their lives, and also to enjoy stories of the Bible, which helps all of us understand how to love and help others. And last, our "events" allows everyone to enjoy themselves with games, prizes, food and fellowship! All of our events, programs, and workshops are FREE!

We never force God on anyone, but we do introduce God to everyone that attends anything that we host or assist with. Our Bible verse for the ministry is: “Behold the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare; before they spring forth, I tell you of them. (Isaiah 42:9). We want everyone to know that God can bring them up and out of anything they are going through and give them a new way of seeing things, a new way of doing things, and a new HOPE!

Biography

Hi I’m Patricia Thomas (Sister Pat / Ms. Pat)!

Thank you for taking the time to browse through our Website! I am the Visionary and Founder of, “TNT 4 JESUS CHRIST” Event Ministry, and I thank God every day for allowing me to be able to serve Him by serving others!

I’m the fifth child out of a family of eight siblings. Even as a young girl, I remember my parents having us in church every Sunday. Sunday morning was the time when they gathered all of us around the table, before church, for prayer and Bible verses. Each of us had to recite a Bible verse from memory.

We would race to the table, to be the first to say our Bible verse; because we all would learn the ones with the least lines. And if by chance, we learned the same verse, the one who said that verse first got to use it, the others had to say another verse. I also remembered my parents studying the Bible together. My dad would be on one side of the bed, and my mom on the other side. They each had their own Bibles and they would read, separately and silently, for the same amount of time, and then they would go to bed.

I’m an older woman now, but I remember those things like it happened yesterday. It would seem that with my upbringing, my adult life should have been smooth sailing, but that wasn’t the case. I served in the church, whether it was ushering, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, or hosting a program for the church, I was always one of the ones that volunteered. But I still made a lot of bad decisions in my life. I didn’t drink, do drugs or anything like that, but my heart loved hard for someone.

I don’t blame anyone for the choices I made, because we all have to be accountable for our own decisions; but from that decision, came a lot of other hard times and choices in my life. Because I never married, I placed my four beautiful children (3 girls and one boy), in a position to be raised by a single mom.

I worked, but things were still hard for me and my children. They had to grow up without a lot of things that other kids had. A lot of times utilities would be turned off because I couldn’t pay the bills, and groceries were slim. But I thank God, because my parents always stayed by my side and tried to help in any way that they could. They never showed me anything but love during my years of unrest and silliest. But then, I began to remember the things they had taught me. I began to understand that just being in church didn’t mean that I had a relationship with God.

When I realized that, I began to search for what I had to do to have God in my life. I began to have a hunger for God, and until I found Him, I always felt like I was drowning or suffocating. But after I accepted Christ as head of my life, I never felt as if I was drowning or suffocating again. Did my kids and I have riches and no worries? Absolutely not! I still had trouble making ends meet, but now, I knew who my help and my source was. I knew that I could call on God, and some way, He always provided for us.

Now, I was in the water, but I could relax knowing that God would not let me drown, that He would keep me afloat! And that’s what I want to show others who feel like giving up because it seems so hard. I want them to know that if they take God’s hand and follow Him, He will get them through! I want them to know that God will forgive, forget, and Bless!!
